Jakarta, February 28, 2026 — The 2026 Nusantara Lunar New Year Parade at Lapangan Banteng marked the highlight of the National Lunar New Year Festival held from February 22 to March 3, 2026. Officially opened by the Vice Minister of Creative Economy/Vice Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Irene Umar, the event stood as a powerful symbol of harmony and diversity—especially as it took place close to the holy month of Ramadan and was located between Istiqlal Mosque and Jakarta's Cathedral.

The parade showcased a vibrant collaboration between Chinese and Nusantara cultures, featuring dragon (liong) processions, lion dances, wushu, pencak silat, ondel-ondel, and jaran kepang performances, with participants from Pontianak, Surakarta, Medan, and Semarang. This momentum reaffirmed that cultural celebrations are not merely ceremonial, but also serve as a unifying force for the nation and a driver of the creative economy.

In alignment with this spirit, Artha Graha Peduli (AGP) and Bank Artha Graha Internasional (BAGI) actively contributed through concrete initiatives addressing environmental sustainability and MSME empowerment.

As part of its social responsibility commitment, AGP organized a “Saber” (Clean Sweep) initiative to ensure the parade area remained clean and comfortable. Embracing the spirit of mutual cooperation, the AGP team maintained cleanliness throughout the event, promoting a new standard for environmentally friendly and sustainable cultural festivals.

On the economic front, BAGI played an active role in helping MSMEs “level up” by digitalizing transactions through QRIS and offering opportunities for entrepreneurs to become assisted merchant partners. A special cashback program was introduced to boost visitors’ purchasing power and increase merchants’ revenue. This initiative was further supported by access to KUR financing facilities to strengthen business capital. Collectively, these efforts not only increased sales volume but also accelerated digital financial literacy and inclusion among small business owners.

AGP management representative Hanna Liles stated that this collaboration reflects private sector synergy in supporting national agendas, ensuring that cultural celebrations are not only visually vibrant but also environmentally responsible and economically impactful for the community.

Through the integration of cultural preservation, environmental stewardship, and digital economic empowerment, the participation of AGP and BAGI in Harmoni Imlek Nusantara 2026 is expected to serve as a sustainable cross-sector collaboration model that contributes positively to national development.
