Lampung, February 27, 2026 — In support of the financial inclusion program and the empowerment of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Bank Artha Graha Internasional (BAGI) Lampung Branch conducted a Financial Inclusion Outreach Program for MSME traders at Pasar Lebak Budi.
The activity was attended by 33 MSME traders, consisting of fruit, vegetable, and basic commodities merchants. Participants showed great enthusiasm, actively engaging in discussions and Q&A sessions related to business development and access to banking financing.
Mr. Karyono, Head of Tanjung Karang Sector Police, was also present at the event and helped bridge communication between BAGI and the traders. His presence provided moral support and strengthened the synergy between the banking sector, security authorities, and local business actors in encouraging community economic growth. This collaboration marks a positive step toward creating a safe, inclusive, and sustainable business ecosystem in the Pasar Lebak Budi area.
During the session, the BAGI Lampung Branch team presented various strategies to help MSMEs “move up a class,” including the importance of simple financial record-keeping, cash flow management, separating personal and business finances, and utilizing banking services to support business expansion,” said Silviana Giovani.
The main focus of the program was the introduction of banking financing products, particularly the People’s Business Credit (KUR) program. Through this program, traders can obtain additional working capital with affordable financing schemes to further develop their businesses. Participants were also educated on the importance of business legality and access to formal financing as essential steps to expand business scale and enhance competitiveness.
In addition to the centralized outreach session, BAGI Lampung Branch conducted peer-to-peer visits to traders who were unable to leave their stalls due to ongoing business activities. This initiative ensured that all traders received equal access to information regarding financial services and financing opportunities. The BAGI team thoroughly explained the requirements, application process, and benefits of the KUR program, enabling traders to better understand how to strengthen working capital, increase inventory, and expand their business networks.
This personalized approach received positive responses from the traders, who felt acknowledged and given equal opportunities to understand banking products tailored to their business needs. Through this initiative, BAGI Lampung Branch reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the national financial inclusion program and expanding banking access for MSMEs, enabling them to increase revenue and contribute to regional economic growth. The activity stands as tangible proof that synergy between banking institutions, authorities, and business actors can create a positive impact on MSME development in Lampung.
