Jakarta, March 2, 2026 — In the spirit of unity and cultural diversity, Bank Artha Graha Internasional (BAGI) enlivened the Cap Go Meh Festival held at SCBD Weekland, Jakarta. The celebration marked the culmination of the Lunar New Year series, observed on the 15th day after Chinese New Year, and is widely known for its festive atmosphere, prayers, and vibrant cultural performances.
The event was lively and drew enthusiastic crowds who gathered to enjoy a variety of traditional performances from diverse cultural backgrounds, reflecting Indonesia’s harmonious multiculturalism.
The festival opened with a cultural parade featuring participants dressed in traditional Chinese and Betawi costumes. The parade marched through the SCBD area and along Jalan Sudirman, capturing the attention of visitors. More than just entertainment, the parade symbolized unity and the richness of cultures coexisting within Jakarta’s urban society.
Betawi cultural elements further enriched the celebration through a gambang kromong performance. This traditional Betawi music, deeply influenced by Chinese cultural acculturation, created a warm and festive ambiance. Various traditional dances were also showcased, ranging from Chinese-themed dances to distinctive Betawi performances, serving as a meaningful effort to preserve cultural heritage for younger generations.
The iconic Betawi ondel-ondel also greeted visitors. These giant Jakarta puppets paraded around the festival area accompanied by traditional music. A silat martial arts performance added excitement to the event, as practitioners demonstrated dynamic and skillful movements embodying discipline and courage. The performance of the Guzheng musical instrument and the Yee Sang Ceremony — tossing and lifting the dish high as a symbol of prosperity and good fortune — further enhanced the cultural richness of the celebration.

One of the most anticipated performances was the barongsai (lion dance). Accompanied by rhythmic and energetic drumbeats, the performers displayed agile and acrobatic movements that amazed the audience. Cheers from the crowd heightened the excitement of the show, which is traditionally believed to bring good fortune and ward off negative energy.
BAGI’s participation in this celebration reflects the company’s strong commitment to supporting social and cultural initiatives. Its presence at the festival demonstrates the active role of the business sector in fostering community togetherness while upholding values of tolerance and diversity.
To further strengthen relationships and enhance engagement with customers, BAGI also organized a customer gathering, providing clients with the opportunity to meet directly with the management team. The event was warmly arranged, combining cultural entertainment with culinary offerings from local MSMEs. This gathering served as both a networking moment and a token of appreciation for customers who have entrusted their financial needs to the bank.

Through this event, customers were given the opportunity to engage in direct dialogue with BAGI’s management. The relaxed yet professional atmosphere encouraged two-way communication, allowing participants to share feedback, exchange service experiences, and discuss future financial needs.
The Cap Go Meh celebration at SCBD Weekland ultimately became a joyful cross-cultural gathering. With its cultural parade, lion dance, gambang kromong, traditional dances, ondel-ondel, silat, Guzheng performance, and Yee Sang Ceremony, the festival successfully delivered a vibrant and memorable cultural experience for all attendees.
