Jakarta, 22 February 2026 – The peak series of the Imlek Festival 2577 officially began today at Lapangan Banteng. Carrying the theme “Harmoni Imlek Nusantara,” the festival continues the vibrant celebrations that have been taking place since 13 February in various cities across Indonesia and will run until 3 March 2026.

This year’s event feels particularly special as it coincides with the holy month of Ramadan. The Lapangan Banteng area has transformed into an inclusive gathering space where visitors can enjoy cultural festivities, browse hundreds of local brands at the bazaar, and find iftar dishes as well as Eid necessities—all in one location.

The Chairperson of the Imlek Festival 2577 Committee, who also serves as Indonesia’s Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, emphasized that the event serves as a platform for creative economic collaboration. “We are showcasing the extraordinary richness of Indonesia’s Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. This is the beauty of Harmoni Imlek Nusantara presented during the month of Ramadan,” she stated.

Banking Initiatives and MSME Support

The success of the event is fully supported by strategic partners, including Artha Graha Peduli through Bank Artha Graha International, which is committed to strengthening social harmony and fostering creative economic growth.

Dian Prasetyo, Executive Officer of Digital Partnership at Bank Artha Graha International, explained that the bank is providing an interactive banking experience for visitors. “Through an account opening program with a minimum deposit of IDR 500,000, visitors can creatively decorate egg mugs or tumblers themed with National Imlek icons. In addition, there is the ‘Bagi Hoki’ raffle program offering total prizes of up to IDR 1,000,000,000 for customers who maintain or increase their average monthly balance,” Dian explained.

Concrete support for the MSME sector at the festival is also realized through seamless digital transaction facilities. “We are offering a QRIS cashback program for every purchase at MSME tenants on-site, covering both food and beverage (F&B) products and other creative (non-F&B) products,” Dian added.

Cultural Diplomacy and Grand Finale

The festival is further strengthened through cultural diplomacy efforts via the Indonesia Wave x K-Pop collaboration, in partnership with KOCCA Indonesia.

The grand celebration is scheduled for 28 February 2026 and is planned to be attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, along with members of the Merah Putih Cabinet. The event will feature mass barongsai and liong performances, musical shows, and traditional dance performances.
