BANDUNG, April 18, 2026 – In an effort to fortify the younger generation against ideological disruption and non-military threats, Bank Artha Graha Internasional (BAGI), part of the Artha Graha Network (AGN), is providing full support for the Siliwangi Santri Camp (SSC). The event, themed "West Java Santri National Defense Camp," is conducted based on the Defense Strength Components of the Republic of Indonesia (KKRI) under the auspices of Kodam III/Siliwangi.
The three-day, two-night event held from April 17–19, 2026, at Rindam Siliwangi, Bandung, is attended by approximately 1,000 santri (Islamic students) from various boarding schools, Islamic educational institutions, and organizations across West Java.
Support from Artha Graha Network—through its business units including Bank Artha Graha Internasional, Electronic City, Gulavit, and Takokak—is a tangible manifestation of corporate commitment toward strengthening the nation’s strategic pillars. Santri are recognized for having the crucial moral and spiritual strength needed to maintain the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia. BAGI is also providing financial literacy and inclusion education to enhance the students' insight into managing daily finances.
"Santri also have an obligation to defend the nation; this might be the first time such an event is held at a Kodam level. West Java is a hub for santri, which inspired me to initiate this Santri Camp. We equip them with discipline, responsibility, leadership, and a spirit of patriotism as part of the total defense system. This activity is a real manifestation of synergy between the Indonesian Army, boarding schools, the government, and all elements of society in preparing the youth as a national defense reserve component," stated Major General Kosasih, Commander of Kodam III/Siliwangi.
“This aligns with our goal to instill national defense values, build disciplined and resilient character, and prepare future cadres of the Republic of Indonesia in West Java. We realize that future challenges are not only physical but also non-physical, such as radicalism, ideological disruption, and the decline of national values,” he explained.
The SSC program is designed with an educational, humanistic, and religious approach, blending curriculum from the Ministry of Defense with Islamic boarding school values. Core materials include national insight, national resilience, and religious moderation.
“BAGI also strengthens the financial literacy of santri amidst the rapid digital era. This education focuses on enabling students to manage finances wisely while remaining vigilant against cybercrime and spam,” said Dewi Kasmara, Branch Director of Bank Artha Graha Internasional, Asia Afrika Bandung Branch.
Through this partnership, it is expected to foster a generation of santri who not only excel in religious knowledge but are also resilient as the frontline in safeguarding national sovereignty and religious moderation in Indonesia.
