Bank Artha Graha Internasional once again demonstrates its commitment to supporting national economic growth by being one of 46 banks entrusted to distribute the People's Business Credit (KUR) program in 2025. This appointment is concrete proof of Bank Artha Graha Internasional's active role in driving the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia.
As part of this strategic initiative, the Signing of the 2025 KUR Financing Cooperation Agreement was held on Friday (April 25) at SMESCO Indonesia. Representing Bank Artha Graha Internasional, the agreement was signed by Elvin Halim, Associate Director.
Currently, Indonesia has around 17 million MSME entrepreneurs. However, according to 2023 data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), 69% of MSMEs still lack access to formal financing. This is where KUR plays a role, not merely as a corporate program, but as an affirmative government initiative to strengthen the resilience of the national economy through MSME development.
For 2025, the government has set three key priorities for the program:
-
Adding 2.4 million new KUR customers;
-
Facilitating the graduation of 1.1 million MSMEs to move up to larger business categories;
-
Allocating 60% of KUR distribution to the production sector to boost economic competitiveness.
The national KUR quota for 2025 is set at IDR 300 trillion, with a Non-Performing Loan (NPL) target maintained below 5%. To ensure the success of this mandate, Bank Artha Graha Internasional is committed to maintaining the quality of KUR distribution through prudent principles, excellent service, and active support for debtors.
In addition, the bank is expected to uphold ethical and courteous collection practices, avoiding any form of coercion. To mitigate the risk of non-performing loans, Bank Artha Graha Internasional also complements the financing process with an intensive assistance program for debtors. This support aims to help MSME actors better manage their businesses, ensuring smooth loan repayments and sustainable growth.
Through these efforts, Bank Artha Graha Internasional is optimistic about making a significant contribution to accelerating the growth of MSMEs and strengthening Indonesia’s economic resilience.
