In support of environmental conservation and greening efforts, Bank Artha Graha Internasional, in collaboration with Perbanas, organized a tree-planting event at the Wonorejo Nursery Garden in Surabaya. Themed “Perbanas Leaving a Greener Earth for Future Generations”, this initiative is part of a long-term commitment to improving air quality, expanding green open spaces, and creating a positive environmental and social impact.

The tree-planting event, held on Thursday at 3:00 PM WIB, began with the planting of 20 Tabebuia trees out of a total of 50 donated. Tabebuia trees were chosen for their striking blossoms and resilience in tropical climates. Each tree planted measured approximately 15 cm in diameter and 5 meters in height, with the hope that they will thrive and provide long-term benefits to the area.

The ceremonial event took place at the Gazebo of the Wonorejo Nursery Garden. Alongside the tree planting, a symbolic handover of a Tabebuia tree from Perbanas to the Head of Surabaya’s Environmental Agency was also held, symbolizing full support for environmental preservation and climate change mitigation.

The event was attended by key figures from various institutions, including representatives from the banking sector and local government. Among them were officials from Perbanas Central Jakarta, the Banking Community Care Committee (KMPP), Perbanas East Java, and Surabaya’s local government—such as the Head of the Environmental Agency, Rungkut Subdistrict Head, and Wonorejo Village Head. Their presence reflected strong moral support and the importance of collaboration between the private sector, government, and community in protecting the environment.

As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility, Bank Artha Graha Internasional actively participates in various greening initiatives. This collaboration with Perbanas demonstrates the bank’s dedication to contributing to environmental preservation and creating greener, more eco-friendly cities.

This initiative is also part of Bank Artha Graha Internasional’s CSR program, which focuses on environmental conservation and community well-being. By planting trees, the bank aims to help reduce air pollution, beautify urban areas, and generate both social and economic benefits for surrounding communities.
