Makassar, July 14, 2026 – Amidst the rapid development of digital technology, understanding early-stage financial management has become highly crucial for the younger generation. Recognizing this, the Makassar Branch of Bank Artha Graha Internasional (BAGI) successfully held an educational and interactive financial inclusion socialization event at Kalam Kudus Christian School Makassar.
The financial inclusion program, themed "Financial Life Balance," was enthusiastically attended by junior and senior high school students. The event was specifically designed to equip students with practical financial knowledge so they are better prepared to face future economic challenges.
Through this socialization, BAGI Makassar Branch explained that financial balance does not mean living in extreme frugality or being overly consumptive. Rather, it is about how students can balance meeting their current needs with preparing savings for the future, without losing out on a fun youth.
During the session, the BAGI Makassar Branch team did not just deliver basic theories; the presentation also touched upon financial issues that often target teenagers in the digital era. These included the dangers of illegal online loans, introducing banking products for students, and tips on managing daily finances.
Through two-way interactions, interactive quizzes, and Q&A sessions, the students actively participated and did not hesitate to share their experiences in managing their daily pocket money.
"With the implementation of this Financial Inclusion activity, it is hoped that the junior and senior high school students of Kalam Kudus Makassar will not only become academically smart but also financially intelligent. They should be able to protect themselves from the risks of digital scams and be ready to manage their financial future more wisely," said Tjiang Inny, Branch Director of Bank Artha Graha Internasional, Makassar Branch.
This activity serves as tangible proof of Bank Artha Graha Internasional's active role in supporting the national financial literacy and inclusion programs initiated by the Government and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) to create a financially prosperous Indonesian society.
