JAKARTA – Coinciding with National Children's Day, Artha Graha Peduli (AGP) together with Bank Artha Graha Internasional (BAGI) held a social service event at Avalokitesvara Temple, Mangga Besar, on Thursday (23/7/2026). The event featured various assistance and educational programs designed to provide a direct positive impact on the welfare of local residents across economic, health, and educational aspects. Bank Artha Graha Internasional distributed stationery packages to elementary and junior high school students as a form of support to keep them motivated in studying to achieve their dreams.
As a token of care for the community's basic needs, AGP and Bank Artha Graha Internasional distributed 200 basic food packages (sembako) to needy residents around the temple area.
"We hope that this basic food and stationery assistance can lighten the economic burden on families while inspiring our children to continue pursuing their education," said Fiqih Abdu Rahman, a representative from Artha Graha Peduli, on the sidelines of the event.
In addition to material aid, public health was also a major focus of this social service initiative. The Artha Graha Peduli team provided health counseling to promote clean and healthy living behaviors (PHBS). Free health checkups, including blood pressure monitoring and minor health consultations, were offered to the elderly and local residents. High enthusiasm was evident as residents queued orderly to have their health checked.
Equally important, the Mangga Besar Branch of Bank Artha Graha Internasional used this opportunity to conduct a financial inclusion campaign. This education aimed to equip the community with a better understanding of finance, including a savings movement that teaches the importance of managing future finances through safe saving habits. They also introduced banking products to provide foundational insights into official banking services and products, helping the community avoid financial crimes and learn how to use banking facilities wisely.
Through the collaboration between Artha Graha Peduli, Bank Artha Graha Internasional, and the management of Vihara Avalokitesvara Mangga Besar, this event is expected to continue fostering social responsibility, strengthening financial inclusion, and bringing sustainable benefits to public health and education.
