Cikarang, July 30, 2026 – As a concrete effort to support the Financial Services Authority's (OJK) national program to increase financial literacy and inclusion, Bank Artha Graha Internasional Cikarang branch visited Santo Leo 3 School Jababeka, Cikarang, to hold an interactive banking education and outreach session.

Attended by hundreds of students, the event aimed to instill an understanding of the importance of early financial management, introduce banking products and services, cultivate saving habits, and expand access to financial inclusion within an educational environment. The material focused on distinguishing between needs and wants, tips for managing pocket money budgets, and the importance of setting aside money at the beginning (saving) rather than saving whatever is left over at the end.

"Financial education begins in school with the goal that students at Santo Leo 3 Jababeka School are not only academically smart, but also possess strong financial character to make wise financial decisions in the future," said L. Rudy Gunawan, Branch Director of Bank Artha Graha Internasional Cikarang branch.

"Santo Leo 3 Jababeka School welcomed the initiative with great enthusiasm, with both students and teachers actively participating in highly interactive discussions. They hope this educational program by Bank Artha Graha Internasional will continue for teachers through programs like the People's Business Credit (KUR) and ongoing financial inclusion for students," he concluded.

In addition to learning financial management theory, students were introduced to a safe, formal banking ecosystem regulated by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Bank Artha Graha Internasional introduced Tabungan Simpanan Pelajar (SimPel), a specialized savings product for students featuring easy requirements and a very low initial deposit to encourage students to open accounts in their own names.

Furthermore, alongside rapid technological developments, students were educated on digital banking services. They were taught how to use cashless transactions (including QRIS) wisely, while also receiving preventive guidance to stay vigilant against cybercrime hazards, online gambling, and fraudulent investment schemes targeting youth on social media.

The event at Santo Leo 3 Jababeka School was highly interactive, featuring Q&A sessions and prize quizzes. The school welcomed the initiative and expressed hope that similar educational synergies continue regularly to equip students with practical life skills.

Through this educational program, Bank Artha Graha Internasional hopes to help accelerate the achievement of national financial inclusion targets while ensuring Indonesia's young generation is prepared to face future economic challenges with a healthy, well-planned financial foundation.
