SOLO, April 8, 2026 – Amidst increasingly complex global economic dynamics, understanding financial management has become a crucial skill for the younger generation. Recognizing this, Bank Artha Graha Internasional (BAGI) Solo Branch held an inspiring financial literacy education session for the students of Pelita Nusantara Kasih Christian School (SKPNK) Surakarta.

Taking place in the school hall, the event—themed "Financial Life Balance"—was attended by 70 participants. The atmosphere was lively, with students enthusiastically interacting throughout the presentation sessions.

The core concept emphasized in this education is achieving balance in financial life. Often, the younger generation gets caught in a consumptive culture due to a lack of boundaries between wants and needs. Through this material, Bank Artha Graha Internasional encourages students to understand that Saving is a Priority, Not a Leftover. Students were taught that saving must be done at the start (set aside immediately after receiving allowance), rather than waiting for what remains at the end of the month.

Balance Between Present and Future: While enjoying the fruits of one's labor or allowance today is permitted, it must be balanced with the right allocation for future preparation. Financial Independence: By disciplining themselves to save early on, students build a foundation to become individuals who are not financially dependent on others in the future.

The long-term goal of this activity is not merely to provide technical banking theory, but to shape habits. A saving culture nurtured from the student level is believed to be a "character investment" in discipline and intelligence in decision-making. "Strong financial literacy at the student level will serve as a solid foundation for creating a more prosperous and financially savvy society in the future," stated Fitria Soraya, Acting Branch Director of Bank Artha Graha Internasional Solo Branch.

SKPNK Surakarta welcomed this initiative warmly. It is hoped that after participating in this event, students will be able to implement "Financial Life Balance" principles in their daily lives, from small steps like managing weekly allowances to planning mid-term savings targets. Through this collaboration between banking institutions and educational bodies, Indonesia’s future "Golden Generation" is expected to have strong financial resilience to face various economic challenges ahead.

Bank Artha Graha Internasional remains committed to supporting government programs to increase financial literacy and inclusion indices in Indonesia through sustainable educational activities across various sectors of society.
